Honest, reliable measurement of homelessness is necessary to drive toward an end to the issue. Measurement allows local agents to track their progress, adjust course when programs and interventions aren't working, and celebrate success when they are. Although many places have some form of homelessness measurement data available, please note that they are not always comparable to one another, as homelessness has varied and sometimes conflicting definitions.
