The Housing Europe Observatory, the Research branch of Housing Europe, presents the 2017 edition of its flagship report ‘The State of Housing in the EU’, the biennial compass of Europe's housing sector. Although growth has returned to big parts of our continent, as President Juncker cheered on at his recent ‘State of the Union’ speech, this growth is leaving many behind and our societies are increasingly unequal. Similarly, the recent ‘recovery’ in housing markets is far from benefitting everyone and the state of housing in the European Union today remains critical.
